Romania Animal Rescue, Inc. carried out a DHLPP Vaccination program with major support from LUSH, who sponsored a grant for 1000 vaccines. With help from our friends Ariane and May, and from the donors, ASNI and RAR were able to provide over 3000 vaccinations.
Vaccines are vital to the health and longevity of dogs and cats. So many potentially deadly and debilitating diseases are just a vaccine away from attacking the innocent. When rescuers and caregivers cannot afford vaccines they often resort to superstition.
Burned by Superstition
When rescuers and caregivers cannot afford vaccines they often resort to superstition. These dogs have had their noses burned in order to ward off distemper, so the caregiver believed.
Thankfully they came to Center of Hope for treatments and to be properly vaccinated.
It is important for the community to understand the importance of the DHLPP vaccine. This will help prevent dogs from contracting many common diseases that are debilitating or downright deadly.
