OUR MISSION
Romania Animal Rescue is on a mission to reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats in Romania by focusing on four critical areas of work: Spay/Neuter, Animal Care, Veterinary Training, and Education. Romania is the 2nd poorest nation in the EU and has one of the largest stray animal populations on the continent.

OUR DOCUMENTARY
This is why spay and neuter is so important and why we constantly ask for support for this vital work. Broken bodies and broken souls that we have to try to put back together are the result of doing nothing to save unwanted dogs and cats from being born. There are many ways in which you can help. Find out how and act today.
OUR VISION
A world where dogs and cats are no longer homeless, born or dumped on the side of the road, and where every dog and cat is cared for by a loving family. That is what we work for every day.
SPAY/NEUTER
We surpassed 120,000 total spay/neuters in September 2023.
We continue to forge ahead with over 125,140 spayed/neutered through the end of February 2024. This is the most effective solution to the reduction of stray dogs and cats
CENTER OF HOPE
(Homeless Animal Hospital)
Over seven years ago, we started the most radical project for animals needing medical care in Romania, called the "Center of Hope" homeless animal hospital. We began with six employees, and we now have over twenty-three.
Center of Hope strives to treat as many dogs/cats as funding allows. All animals, stray or not, abandoned or well looked after, pure breed or mixed, are welcome at the Center of Hope. Our primary focus is to provide healthcare and spay/neuter of those animals who are homeless and needy.
